The Christmas season is probably my favorite time of year to head on up to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The level of decorating that the theme parks do is simply awe inspiring. Today, we are playing with DIY Golden Snitch ornaments and owl feather wreaths. I just can’t get enough of the holiday vibe!
I do not know what happened to the month of November, just yesterday was the first, and now tomorrow starts December. The end of the year time crunch is trying to get me between work and other adult responsibilities, I have barely had a chance to do any fun crafting so far this season.
We FINALLY made it back to the theme parks just in time to catch the last showing of the Death Eaters light show and you could see signs of Christmas popping up everywhere!

I have recreated and revamped some of the holiday themed decor I’ve seen at the parks, in addition to a few of my own design. I plan on remolding my store bought holiday garland that we’ve had for years as well. If (sings) “time will let me”
Version I’m working with this year. You can use almost any materials.
Simply adhere the feathers to the bauble with hot glue and you are done. You won’t see the back side anyway, so if you get a little rushed and a bit sloppy it’s OK!
Green wreath (lit or unlit; dealers choice)
Gold beaded Garland (optional, but I like the way it pops)
Two black ornament baubles
One red ornament bauble
Maybe a festive wreath sprig or two
Hot glue or wire ties
I took the gold beaded garland and wrapped it around the wreath. I then fixed the snitch(es) and the other baubles and decor on the wreath.
Owl/quill themed wreath
Feathers (owl/eagle style)
Green wreath (lit or unlit)
Hot glue or wire ties
Battery operated Fairy lights
Smallish owl ornament
I wrapped the wreath with lights and affixed feathers around the edges sticking them in place. You could glue or tie them down. Hang owl from the center of the wreath.
