My name is Sarah. I am a Slytherin who loves to craft.
For a very long time now, I have been plotting how to launch a platform upon which to share my projects and ideas. Well, it is time! Welcome. and let the games begin!
I decided to start this:
as a way to share my craft projects and ideas with you
to help new crafters get started with their first step.
to share my experiences with recreating other peoples projects and my own ideas and plans.
Missteps and victories happen all along the way. I am an avid Harry Potter fan, known by many as “that Harry Potter girl”. Most of my projects are based on my version of something from that world. The main bulk of my craft projects and ideas are my versions of either props, other items I see online, or those that I have tweaked to my own designs. Not everything in my craft arsenal is limited to Harry Potter; some are basic magical recreations or my own ideas. I try to look at projects as a way to unwind and cure my creative bug. I do not have a license for copyright or any of that nonsense and I do not sell any of my “name brand” projects. Those projects with copyright information (names/logos/etc.) are strictly for my own personal use and entertainment. They are not meant to be sold, but to bring me joy and keep idle hands busy and out of mischief.
Currently, I have no plans on how often I’ll post, but I hope to publish one for each project as it is finished. I will occasionally post old ones, as well as new ones weekly, as I try to stay busy and unwind and craft daily.
To help those who want to use my tutorials or outline for their own uses, I will list supplies I used, methods that I found to be the best, what didn’t work at all, and naturally credit the origins of my plans.
Now for a little bit more background about me before we move forward. I am a fantasy loving, board gamer, crafter, reader, and baker. I adore Sci-fi and historical cosplay, and Ren-Faires. In short, I do it all, or at least I am willing to try any project once. I love to learn new methods and enhance my skills from staining and painting to trying to knit and purl a straight line (I still have wonky lines). Not everything is a success but if you don’t try, you’ll never learn.
Once again, welcome, and I hope we become fast friends. Projects await us!
